On May 11th, 2024 WB Wayne Donelson visited Sequim Lodge and WM Doug Johnson, who is also a member of Ashler Lodge No. 121 to take part in the Irrigation Festival Parade.
On April 20th, 2024, the streets of Bothell got a cleaning by the Ashler Street Clean up Crew.
On April 18th, 2024, 34 brothers were in attendance for another great Ashler No. 121 stated meeting. WM Isiah Brazil took the opportunity to take a photo with the Travelling Gavel. King Solomon’s Pass Award, which is awarded to the Lodge who had the most brothers visiting other Lodges. And the District 2 Fraternal Championship Belt, which is awarded the Lodge that wins the challenges of the previous year.
On March 23rd, 2024, Ashler Lodge No. 121 raised Br Wagner Olivera and Patrick Cote to the sublime degree of a Master Mason.
On March 21st, 2024, MWB Steve Martin made his official visit to Ashler Lodge No. 121. It was also Ashler’s Annual Chili Cookoff. Br. Kris DiGiulio was selected as the winner of this year’s Chili Cook Off

It is with a heavy heart that we report to you that our Past Master, Illustrious Sir David Brady, Worshipful Master 1997 and Nile Potentate 2015, laid down his working tools this morning. Dave fought a courageous battle with cancer for the past several years and now, the Great Architect of the Universe has called him home. More information will follow as to memorial service and such. Please keep his wife, Karen, and their family in your prayers. Thank you, Ill. Sir, WB Dave for all you did for your family, our Lodge, the children of the Nile Shrine and the community of Bothell. Rest in Peace, my Brother.

On September 9th, 2022, Josh Echeverria and Quinn Cochrane were passed to the degree of a Fellowcraft Mason!
On the evening of August 18th, 2022, instead of having dinner before Ashler Lodge’s stated meeting, the brethren gathered at Bothell’s Pop Keeney Field to watch WB Dave Brady being inducted to the Bothell Wall of Honor.
WB Dave Brady had this to say, “I'm having trouble coming up with the words. But I truly am proud to be a Mason and especially a member of Ashler Lodge! I was blown away by all my brothers who came out to support me at the 'Wall of Honor' ceremony. When I walked up to get my award. I heard a lot of loud cheering for me that made me feel really good. I think it was the loudest cheering of the evening just due to how many were there to support me. I'm sorry I did not get to talk to you prior to or after the ceremony but from the bottom of heart thank you for your support. I would love to get a group picture after our next stated meeting with me holding my wall of honor plaque. Take care and I will see you soon brothers.

On June 12, 2022, VWB Dan Southerland was installed at District Deputy to the Grand Master of the Most Illustrious Grand Lodge of Washington. We at Ashler No. 121 are looking forward to seeing the District continue to flourish under the leadership of VWB Daniel Southerland, building on the foundation of the other Past District Deputies. District 2 will continue to be Second to none.
It is with great sadness we must pass the news along that Br. Kirk Stensvig passed away on May 28th, 2022. Brother Kirk's funeral service will contain a Rose Croix service instead of a Masonic service. If any Scottish Rite Brothers would like to help please contact VWB Dan Southerland.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 16th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133. A reception in Kirk's honor will follow the service. For everyone's safety Kirk's family is recommending the wearing of facial masks during the service.

On May 22nd, 2022, seven Ashler Brothers spent a beautiful Saturday at the San Juan Lodge Open Air Fellowcraft Degree. Third Saturday in May Annual event. Great degree, amazing food and a ton of great laughs/memories. If you have not experienced this event, we highly recommend it in years to come.
On April 21st, 2022 Ashler Lodge No. 121 was visited by MWB Cameron Bailey, Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Washington. The Grand Master was also the judge of Ashler’s annual chili cook-off which was won again by WM Don Schumer.
On April 18th, 2022, Sprint/T-Mobile removed their cell towers and equipment after 28 year relationship with Ashler Lodge No. 121.
On April 16th, 2022 it was time to remove the original mural that was planned for the south wall from the roof. The mural was placed on the roof in 2011/2012 so that it could be repurposed as it was too big for the back wall per the City of Bothell sign code. Thanks go to Br. Dan Echo and Br. Andy Connor
On April 4th, 2022 WB Bob Guild and Br. Dan Echo were in attendance to see two new bikes make it to two new homes at Westhill Elementary! Over 250 participants this year at Westhill Elementary and over 79,000 minutes read! New records each. Smiles for miles!!

At the 165th Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, held between June 9th - 12th, 2021, Ashler’s VWB Jimmy Norton was elected Junior Grand Warden . Congratulations RWB Jimmy Norton Grand Junior Warden
MWB Charles McQuery’s Apron and Jewel have been memorialized in a shadow box that has just been completed. It will be hung in Ashler Lodge No. 121 very soon. MWB Charles “Chuck” McQuery was installed as Grand Master at the Grand Lodge Annual Communication in 2006 at Ocean Shores, Washington. He was Past Master of Ashler No. 121 in 1996.
At his installation, Most Worshipful Brother Charles laid out a blueprint that brought to life the Pillars of Progress as defined in the Long Range Plan. He believed that the Long Range Plan and the initiatives contained therein were more than just words on a page, but a call to action – that we must Walk the Talk.
He focused on the growth of Fraternal relationships with the many Masonic bodies in the Jurisdiction by dedicating the months of his year to each of these bodies. In addition, he focused on the needs of the Brethren by traveling throughout the Jurisdiction to the many Lodges, scheduled and unscheduled, to reinforce his message of fraternity and fellowship. His District Meetings were taken to a higher level by introducing the concept of family involvement.

On September 17th, 2020, Ashler Lodge No. 121 held a virtual Past Master’s Night. All the Past Master’s talked about their year and some great stories were told. 20+ brothers were in virtual attendance.
WM Ray Gries, VWB Chris Haynes, and WB Bob Guild attended the memorial for Officer Jonathan Shoop of Bothell Police Department, who was killed in the line of duty. The memorial is outside of City Hall and across the street from the Police Department.

On February 20, 2020, Ashler Lodge No. 121 had their first meeting in the newly renovated Lodge building. Ashler No. 121 also had their Annual Chili Cook-off which had four contestants. The 2020 Chili Cook-off winner this year was Melissa Bennett!
Another year. Another Ashler Bikes for Books Build happened on January 11th, 2020. Thanks to all the Brothers who were able this day to put the bikes together. Twenty two bikes ready for delivery to eleven elementary schools. Great morning of fellowship and community. Thank you Brothers!
December 19th 2019, Ashler Lodge No. 121 welcomed Robert L.D. (Bob) Cooper, Curator, of the Museum and Library of the Grand Lodge of Scotland, with his host WB Thomas Lamb, PM Edmonds No. 165 and Walter F Meier Lodge of Research No. 281. Bob presented a great talk of the ‘Myths about the Knights Templar and Roslyn Chapel’

December 16th, 2019 is the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in 1944 during WWII. This past Saturday, with the assistance of the Everett Silvertips Hockey Club and the brethren of Ashler Lodge #121, we honored Worshipful Brother Jim Greimes at the annual Teddy Bear Toss hockey game.
Brother Jim was a 20 year old Corporal in the US Army (back then) who served as a Forward Observer with the 14th Field Artillery Observation Battalion in Luxembourg. During the battle, his position was overrun by German soldiers and he was forced to hide in a hollowed-out fallen tree for several days. Later on in January 1945, Jim and his unit went on to liberate a Nazi Concentration Camp.
The brethren of Ashler Lodge #121 and Mill Creek Lodge No. 243 F&AM of Washington presented Jim with an authentic Silvertips jersey which was signed by all members of the team.
We humbly express our sincere gratitude to the Silvertips organization, the players and to the 7,388 fans in attendance who made Jim's first hockey game experience a memorable one.

On September 19th, 2019, Ashler Lodge No. 121 celebrated Past Master’s Night. WM Bob Guild put together a great meeting, one of the highlights of the meeting was asking the Past Masters of Ashler Lodge what they remembered about their year. Every Past Master had something heartfelt to share. It was different and refreshing. Thank you Past Masters of Ashler Lodge for being the pillars of strength and example for new Masons to be better men.
On August 15th, 2019, while Ashler Lodge No. 121 continues it’s progress through the renovation, Ashler Lodge had their stated meeting in the space below the Lodge room below at Graham’s RoyalTea.
On July 18th 2019, Ashler Lodge held Lodge in the stripped down Lodge room. It made for a very interesting evening.
The dinner was held at the Hop and Hound where we had burgers and hot dogs.

Happy Retirement to WB Steve Hofer! After 22 years, WB Steve hung his cooking apron on the door and is giving up the old 3am-3pm work shift. Good luck to him in his future endeavors! Bro. Dale Miller Spent an hour or two celebrating with him yesterday and he told Bro. Dale Miller that he looks forward to joining us in the newly remodeled lodge in the fall!
Maywood Elementary Bikes for Books Presentation 2019:
Maywood used their Read EVERYWHERE Challenge to award their bikes this year. Please see the attached photos that shows the challenge requirements. Ashler’s flagship Bike for Books school has a very strong reading program attendance and thanks Ashler for their generosity!
Woodmoor Elementary Bikes for Books Presentation 2019:
A big thanks to WB Mike Olson for supporting Woodmoor Elementary and Ashler Lodge No. 121 in this year's Bike for Books activities. Woodmoor does two programs, one in the early spring and one later in the school year and awards to one winner at each program.
Woodside Elementary Bikes for Books Presentation 2019:
A big thanks to WB Chris Elsworth for supporting Woodside Elementary and Ashler Lodge No. 121 in this year Bikes for Books activities. The winners took part in a read-a-thon fundraiser in their bid to win the bikes. Justin won the 24" with $352 raised and Lucy won the 20" with $750 raised. The Principal had some excellent words about the program and the support that Ashler Lodge has offered to their school. They are excited for a continued partnership in the coming years.
It was announced that Steve’s Cafe was closing so that WB Steve Hofer (PM 1988) could begin to enjoy retirement. So here's to all the years serving the Lodge and the Community. Thanks PM Steve! All the best in your retirement! ...Our last Breakfast at Steve's.

The Read-a-Thon was very successful for Shelton View – in part to the great donations from the Ashler Lodge! Here are some of the awesome results from the event: Total Minutes Read: More than 10,000 minutes!The two bike winners were very excited to receive the bikes and they were handed out by the office. The two winners were Mercer (1st grade) and Priscilla (3rd grade).

On January 19th, 2019 WB Dan Southerland was given the Grand Master’s Achievement Award for his distinguished service to Freemasonry in our Jurisdiction. WB Dan said, “Am truly honored and humbled on receiving this high honor. So incredibly hard to believe I am in with a league of such giants of men. Thank you so much to all my Brothers who have guided me in my journey that will never end. I especially bow to great mentors and brothers Richard Beers, Ronald L Swasey, and Chris Haynes and to my biggest why, Cristal Southerland for your unending support. Thank you for all.”
On January 17th, 2019, 41 brothers were on hand at Ashler Lodge as we had the official visit of MWB James Kendall, Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Washington. MWB James Kendall also presented WB Jim Greimes his 40 year Pin and WB Vinny DiGiulio is 45 year pin respectively. As for the 2019 Annual Chili Cook-Off winner, the brethren voted for Chili #3 and the award went to Bro. Doug Metzler as he took home the top prize.

On November 28, 2018, WM Chris Elsworth and WME Bob Guild represented Ashler Lodge No. 121 in presenting a Landsdowne Portrait of George Washington to the Secondary Academy for Success in Bothell. The second picture is 4 students that passed the Immigration test as an extra credit assignment for one of their classes and wanted to take a picture with George Washington. The Lansdowne portrait is a life-size portrait of George Washington painted by Gilbert Stuart in 1796. It depicts a 64-year-old Washington in his last year as President of the United States. The most famous copy is the one in the East Room of the White House.
At the Stated Meeting on September 20th, 2018, WM Chris Elsworth recognized the eleven Ashler Past Master’s in attendance.

WB Kevin Haagen was on hand on March 28th, 2018 at Silver Lake Elementary for the first ever Bikes for Books giveaway. Michael and Araceli were the winners at Silver Lake Elementary’s first year doing Bikes for Books with Ashler. These kids were so nice and well spoken. They were very deserving according to Ms. Sand the librarian.

On January 25th, 2018, Ashler Lodge initiated Sean Loyer as an Entered Apprentice Mason.
On January 18th, 2018 Ashler Lodge had the official visit of MWB Warren R Schoeben, Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Washington. MWB Warren was also the judge for Ashler's Annual Chili Cook off in which Br Jack Huang took home the top prize.
On January 6th, 2018, the brothers of Ashler Lodge built the bikes that will be given away to the 11 schools Ashler supports for the Bikes for Books program.
On November 30th, 2017, Ashler Lodge #121 raised Br. Isiah Brazil to the sublime degree of a Master Mason.

On July 25th, 2017, Bothell Mayor Andy Rheaume declared it 'Steve's Cafe Day' during the recent July City Council Meeting. Ashler Lodge PM (1988) Steve Hofer and his wife Marlene receive a hearty round of applause (and some laughter) as they are celebrated and acknowledged for 20 years of operation and service to the City of Bothell. Thank you Steve and Marlene for ALL you do for our community!

Bothell Children's Concert Series sponsored this year by Ashler Lodge kicked off with support from Job's Daughters #77 and Rainbow Girls Assembly #47. There are two more concerts this year and the dates can be found on the calendar.

On June 25th, 2017 Ashler Lodge served dinner at Bothell's United Methodist Church community dinner. Kudos to Brother Doug Metzler and his wife Eileen for making an excellent chicken curry & rice dish & vegetables that everyone absolutely loved! The chicken curry was served with sides of fresh green beans, cooked baby carrots, baguette bread, garden salad, and chocolate & vanilla-strawberry cakes for dessert.

On March 12, 2017, the brothers of Ashler Lodge #121 were getting all the prep work done for the Bothell Community Dinner at the Bothell United Methodist Church The menu was chicken and sausage jambalaya with green salad and fruit salad.

Bothell Music in the Park is still going strong throughout the Summer! August 5th, 2016 we saw the largest crowd so far this year as people came out to see Creme Tangerine, the Beatles tribute band.
On July 21st, 2016, Ashler Lodge #121 welcomed MWB Jim Mendoza, Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Washington and and the mayor of Bothell Andy Rheaume to Ashler's Hawaiian Shirt Night / Spamapalooza. Winners were MWB Charles McQuery and Br. Don Schumer!

February 20th, 2016. The brothers of Ashler Lodge tackled the streets of Bothell for the quarterly street clean up of our adopted street on 104th.
